MEETING TIMES
ASV meets bi-weekly in the MSC at 5:30pm. Meetings involve updates on volunteering times, schedules, dues, socials, and presentations from officers on useful topics for volunteering. Ask an officer to be added to the groupme for meeting slides and updates of what day and room meetings will be held in. You can also check the ASV instagram for meeting reminders.
VOLUNTEERING
At ASV, we're committed to fostering a thriving community through volunteering at Bryan and College Station ISD. We offer a diverse array of volunteer opportunities, including roles as a Lunch Buddy, recess helper, PE teacher assistant, or classroom supporter. We understand that as a college student, your schedule can be demanding. That's why we provide flexible volunteering options to ensure that you can find a time that suits you during the week. Whether you have a few hours to spare or more, you can make a significant impact on the lives of these young learners while accommodating your busy college schedule. Join us today and be a part of this transformative experience! Each semester we will walk you through how to do background checks and give you a clear volunteering schedule with carpool options available so you don't have to worry about transportation if you don't have access to a vehicle.
HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER
There's no application process to become a member of ASV. You simply need to pay a semester or yearly fee to join. See us at the MSC open house at the beginning of every semester. Membership requires your active participation in volunteering, and there's no point system to maintain. With your membership fee, you'll receive a t-shirt, access to social events, and an end-of-semester banquet to celebrate your contributions and our collective impact.
